A woman from Bihar turned an ordinary train journey into an extraordinary event by giving birth at Platform No. 4 of Guwahati Railway Station. While traveling on the Rani Kamlapati Express from Agartala to Barauni, she unexpectedly went into labor. With no time to reach a hospital, railway doctors and female personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) quickly stepped in, facilitating a safe delivery right on the platform.
Thanks to their prompt and efficient action, both the mother and her newborn are reported to be in good health, according to railway sources. Following the successful delivery, the mother was transferred to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for further care.
