According to Wengren, it was a bucket-list experience for the band, marking one of the last legendary collaborations in their career. This significant performance comes just before DISTURBED’s 25th Anniversary Tour for their debut album, “The Sickness,” kicking off in February 2025 in Nampa, Idaho.
Wengren explained that the opportunity to perform with IRON MAIDEN came when their management received an unexpected offer. Despite their busy schedule—juggling live shows and working on new music—joining IRON MAIDEN was a “no-brainer,” prompting them to temporarily set aside other commitments. Wengren also fondly recalled meeting IRON MAIDEN’s Bruce Dickinson at their hotel, describing their efforts to contain their excitement.
Reflecting their success, DISTURBED’s forthcoming “The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour” celebrates the influential 2000 release that spent 106 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and is revered for its impact on heavy metal. The tour, produced by Live Nation, promises a dynamic experience with two nightly sets: a complete performance of “The Sickness” and a selection of their greatest hits. The tour will feature special guests like THREE DAYS GRACE and DAUGHTRY, among others.
