Joyful Celebrations Unfold: Commemorate One Year of Ram Temple Consecration in Ayodhya with Vibrant Festivities
A three-day festival in Ayodhya is set to commence on Saturday, honoring the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the event with the ‘Maha Abhishek’ ceremony. This marks the first time Adityanath will address attendees and religious leaders, or seers, from Angad Tila within the temple grounds. Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya are also anticipated to be present.
The festival coincides with the ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi Utsav,’ celebrated from January 11 to 13. Organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, the event will feature cultural programs showcasing performances in music, art, and literature. To manage the anticipated crowds, all passes for temple visits are suspended during the festival. In a bid to maximize participation, Doordarshan will broadcast the celebration nationwide.
The temple has been lavishly adorned with over 50 quintals of flowers, and VIP Gate No. 11, among other entries, has been especially decorated. Additionally, the Municipal Corporation has ordered the installation of decorative lights on trees in anticipation of the festivities and the forthcoming Mahakumbh.
Security measures are robust, with SSP Rajkaran Nayyar announcing the deployment of a significant police force, including female officers, to ensure safety. Thorough screenings will be conducted at security checkpoints located at entry gates.
This commemoration not only celebrates a religious milestone but also aims to unify devotees across the country by sharing the joyous event broadcast live.
