The Governor evaluated current security measures, with particular attention to border areas, to enhance the overall safety framework in Manipur.
In the meeting, Governor Bhalla underscored the importance of prioritizing the safety of citizens and instructed the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) to intensify efforts in this regard. He also called upon the Army and paramilitary officers to collaborate closely with local authorities to uphold law and order across the region.
The meeting convened several key officials responsible for maintaining peace and security. These included Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur, Kuldiep Singh; DGP, Rajiv Singh; Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South), Major General Ravroop Singh; as well as senior officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF). Each participant contributed insights and discussed strategies to fortify security protocols in the state.
The Governor’s proactive approach reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing security challenges, particularly in border areas, and ensuring the safety of Manipur’s residents. This meeting aligns with recent efforts by Manipur police to enhance security in sensitive regions like Kangpokpi following incidents of unrest.

As developments unfold, Manipur’s administration continues its vigilant efforts to safeguard its citizens and maintain peace throughout the state.
