Breaking News: Transformative Assam Cabinet Approval – 2024 Birth & Death Registration Rules Revamped for a Brighter Future!
In a pivotal Cabinet meeting, the Assam Government made several strategic decisions to boost governance, rural infrastructure, and urban amenities. A notable development was the approval of the Assam Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Rules, 2024, which aims to simplify and enhance the registration process for residents, making it more accessible and citizen-centered.
The Cabinet also launched the Swagata Satirtha Mutual Transfer Portal, an innovative online platform to facilitate mutual transfers for Grade III and IV employees. This initiative is expected to enhance workforce efficiency and improve job satisfaction across the state.
Significantly advancing rural development, the government approved 104 projects valued at Rs 210.8 crore to improve connectivity and infrastructure across 12 districts. This ambitious plan seeks to elevate the quality of life and accessibility in rural areas.
To address urban challenges, the Cabinet allocated Rs 207.92 crore for critical water supply projects under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF). These projects will benefit towns such as Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, and North Lakhimpur by enhancing access to clean drinking water for residents.
These initiatives highlight the Assam Government’s commitment to improving the state’s governance, infrastructure, and essential services, ensuring a higher quality of life for its citizens.
