Tragic Clash: Assam Youth’s Bike Collides with Alleged BJP Worker’s Vehicle; Body Discovered Bound

The tragic discovery of a young man’s body in Rangia, Kamrup, Assam, has stirred public outrage and scrutiny over police conduct. Dharmendra Nath, who had been missing for five days, was found dead in a pond on December 30, his hands and legs bound.

Nath had departed for a picnic with friends, a day that turned fatally violent following a collision involving his bike and a car owned by the now-suspected assailants. Reports detail that a dispute with a group of 12 men quickly escalated into violence, leading to the group viciously attacking Nath and his companions. Initially slow to respond, the police eventually arrested two suspects, Himangshu Kakati and Amulya Lahkar, on December 29.
