In a bid to reestablish India’s prominence as a prosperous nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rallied for “Vikshit Bharat @ 2047,” urging broad participation from all sectors of society to restore India’s historical greatness. This initiative serves as a call to action for citizens, communities, civil society organizations, and corporate entities to collaborate toward a common, illustrious future.

Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Bodo Peace Accord of 2020 was instrumental in fostering peace, harmony, and integrity in the Bodoland region, ending an era of violence and animosity between communities. With guidance from Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bodoland now has the opportunity to embark on a journey of reconciliation and development.

Previously, the challenges faced by the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) necessitated a compassionate and proactive policy approach. By addressing grievances and aspirations, policymakers laid the groundwork for trust and sustainable peace. The BTR Government’s participatory visioning exercise involved 26 communities and over 70 organizations to create a unified vision addressing longstanding issues and unmet aspirations.

The Bodoland Happiness Mission highlights the Council Government’s dedication to sustainable peace and healing after decades of conflict. This community-centered approach leverages India’s cultural diversity as a cornerstone for fostering unity and progress. Communities are not merely cultural entities; they are crucial engines for social and economic development. Empowering them through education and resources enhances their contribution to national prosperity.

This initiative aims to align government actions with community aspirations, ensuring representation and addressing unique needs in Bodoland. By forging a path toward reconciliation and growth, the Community Vision for BTR seeks to guide Bodoland and other regions towards the envisioned “Vikshit Bharat @ 2047,” fostering a harmonious, progressive society.
