Unveiling the Truth: Patna Police’s Bold Demand for Guru Rahman to Provide Crucial Evidence in BPSC Paper Leak Scandal

Patna, Dec 28: The Patna police have accused prominent educationists, including private coaching expert Guru Rahman, of inciting job aspirants amid protests against an alleged Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) paper leak. Authorities issued a notice to Guru Rahman, requiring him to present evidence of his claims at the Gardanibagh police station. Police warned that inciting students violates the law, urging educationists to refrain from making inflammatory remarks. SHO Sanjeev Kumar has confirmed that Rahman must cooperate with the investigation or face legal consequences if he fails to provide evidence, seeing it as an attempt to damage the BPSC’s reputation.

The protests, led by aspirants demanding the cancellation of the December 13 exam due to alleged malpractices, intensified after Rahman and fellow educator Faizal Khan joined the demonstrators at the Gardanibagh dharna site, expressing their solidarity. Despite mounting pressure, the BPSC has declared that the 70th examination will not be annulled. Examination controller Rajesh Kumar Singh emphasized the commission’s decision, citing numerous requests from candidates not wanting the exam invalidated. He noted that no concrete evidence has been provided by the protestors to substantiate their claims, labeling them as “fabricated.”

To accommodate candidates affected by the disruption at the Patna center, a re-examination is scheduled for January 4, 2025. Candidates can download their admit cards starting January 2, 2025, with the examination set to occur at varied locations. This ongoing controversy highlights the tension between job aspirants and the BPSC, while both sides await the outcome of investigations into the alleged exam misconduct.
