Breaking: Tenzing D. Denzongpa Triumphantly Assumes Role as Gyalshing District Collector

Tenzing D. Denzongpa has officially taken on the role of District Collector (DC) for Gyalshing district. The transition occurred at the District Administrative Centre in Rabdentse, near Gyalshing town. A seasoned State Civil Service (SCS) officer, Denzongpa brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including Block Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional District Collector, and director at the Panchayati Raj Institution under the Rural Development department.
Denzongpa succeeds Yishey D. Yongda, the outgoing District Collector who has been reassigned as secretary of the State Election Commission. On his first day, Denzongpa was greeted warmly by district officials, including various Assistant District Collectors and Sub-Divisional Magistrates, along with local residents, zilla and gram panchayat members. His office saw many visitors who came to extend their congratulations.
Sudesh Kumar Limboo, the MLA of Maneybong-Dentam and advisor for Tourism & Civil Aviation, visited Denzongpa to offer his best wishes for a fruitful tenure. After taking charge, Denzongpa conducted inspections of various units within the administrative centre, including accounts, engineering, and administrative divisions. He engaged with the staff to assess the status of ongoing projects.
In a statement to the media, Denzongpa underscored his commitment to focusing on education, healthcare, tourism, and rural development. He assured that all State and central government projects and welfare schemes would be implemented effectively for the public’s benefit. Drawing from his extensive experience in rural development, Denzongpa plans to prioritize rural infrastructure and development initiatives.
He expressed his intent to continue the projects initiated by his predecessor while introducing new initiatives to further accelerate the district’s development. Outgoing DC Yishey D. Yongda extended her best wishes to Denzongpa for a successful and impactful tenure.
