Allu Arjun’s blockbuster sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” is creating a sensation worldwide. Released on December 5, 2024, the film has already accumulated a jaw-dropping ₹1450 crore globally within just 17 days, with the Hindi version alone contributing ₹665.60 crore. Setting new records, it achieved the highest-ever third Saturday collection for a Hindi film, with a remarkable ₹20.5 crore.
Despite delivering a significant 232.75% profit from its ₹200 crore distribution cost for the Hindi version, “Pushpa 2” has yet to surpass the financial success of its predecessor, “Pushpa: The Rise,” which boasted a staggering 430% profit. To match this benchmark, the current installment needs an additional ₹394.5 crore at the box office.
According to BookMyShow’s annual report, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has been crowned the most-watched film of 2024, captivating 10.8 lakh solo viewers. This achievement makes it only the third film in India to cross the ₹1500 crore mark globally. The movie stars Allu Arjun, reprising his role as Pushpa, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and a strong supporting cast including Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu. It follows Pushpa, a small-time worker who embarks on a tumultuous journey to become a powerful sandalwood smuggler, while navigating threats from law enforcement.
