Guwahati: The Pro Panja League arm wrestling event held in Aizawl, Mizoram, captivated over 15,000 fans with a thrilling display of strength and entertainment. The landmark event, which blended intense arm wrestling matches with dynamic live music performances, showcased Mizoram’s vibrant culture and community spirit.
Mizoram emerged victorious in the five-match series, winning 3-2 against international competitors from Kazakhstan and Assam. Local heroes Vanlallura and Kimkima initially secured a 2-0 lead for the hosts. However, Kazakhstan’s Bekzhan Ramiyanov and Assam’s Tridip Medhi leveled the score. The decisive moment came when Mizoram’s own Denic Lalruattluanga triumphed over Kazakhstan’s Assanali Nurmagambet, sealing the victory amidst deafening cheers.
