NCC Hosts Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Program in Agartala
Agartala, December 17, 2024: In a landmark event for the state, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) conducted the Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hostel. This initiative, held for the first time in the region, saw the attendance of distinguished guest Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu.
During a press briefing, Governor Nallu underscored the NCC’s pivotal role in nurturing discipline, dedication, and patriotism among young cadets. He remarked, “The NCC instills devotion to the nation, preparing students from their school years for service in the Indian Army.”
Highlighting the NCC’s longstanding contributions since its inception, the Governor noted the organization’s success in training numerous Major Generals of the Indian Army. He appealed to parents to motivate their children to join the NCC, emphasizing that it helps youths avoid smartphone addiction and develop essential traits of patriotism and discipline.
Following his address, Governor Nallu engaged with students, urging them to seize the opportunities and values provided by the NCC. He encouraged all young boys and girls in the state to enroll in the NCC, aiming to inspire the next generation with the institution’s ethos.
The Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program marks a significant step towards engaging Tripura’s youth in national service values, reflecting the NCC’s ongoing commitment to youth development and national integrity.
