Shocking Attack: Goldy Brar Gang Unleashes Desi Bombs at Gurgaon Club to Intimidate Owners
A day after detonating crude bombs outside a club in Gurgaon’s Sector 29, an alleged member of the Goldy Brar gang, Sachin from Meerut, was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). According to a senior police officer, the bombs were meant to intimidate club owners who had received extortion calls. The incident follows a pattern matching a recent bombing at clubs in Chandigarh, pointing to a larger terror module associated with Babbar Khalsa International, aiming to spread terror and extort funds.
On Tuesday at 5:15 am, Sachin hurled two crude bombs outside Human Night Club. After his arrest, he allegedly confessed to being an aide of Goldy Brar, seeking to punish the club owners for not complying with the gang’s demands. Police disclosed that Sachin had conducted extensive reconnaissance before the attack and was paid over Rs 1 lakh for his involvement. He arrived on a stolen motorcycle driven by another accomplice.
Initially, the club owners did not report the extortion threats to the police. However, following two bombings in Chandigarh’s Sector 26, law enforcement was alerted. The Gurgaon Police increased security measures in the Sector 29 market. During the incident, Sachin was reportedly under the influence of drugs and preparing to launch two more bombs when he was apprehended by police.
The FIR was filed at DLF Police Station under various sections, including the Explosives Act, Arms Act, and multiple sections of the UAPA. Varun Suhag, manager of Human Night Club, confirmed the suspect was outside the club premises, and police have since reviewed surveillance footage. The incident underscores the growing threat of organized crime and terror-linked extortion schemes in the region.
