Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani and Science Seminar Held in Udaipur
The Gomati District’s Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani and Science Seminar for 2024-25 commenced in Udaipur on Thursday. Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy inaugurated the event at Chandrapur Colony Higher Secondary School, emphasizing the importance of fostering scientific talent and innovation among students. He was joined by MLA Abhishek Debroy and other dignitaries, including Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Shital Chandra Majumdar and District Education Officer Bikash Nath.
Marking the event’s official opening, dignitaries participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The two-day science exhibition features 65 projects from various schools, while 25 seminars will delve into themes such as health, agriculture, communication, transportation systems, and mathematics. The program also includes quizzes, cultural events, and debate competitions, providing a comprehensive platform for students to showcase their skills.
Minister Singh Roy highlighted the role of such initiatives in nurturing students’ talents and character, urging educators to encourage innovation and creativity, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence. He assured that the state government is dedicated to integrating science more thoroughly into the educational sphere, reflecting the strong community support for enhancing science education.
