The two-day event sees collaboration between 34 teachers from the Yuksam-Tashiding subdivision and educational experts from Singapore. This programme, held in partnership with the Singapore National Institute of Education (NIE) and the State Education Department, focuses on fostering pedagogical development and cross-cultural learning.

The programme features interactive sessions with school leaders, assistant professors from SCERT, and lecturers from DIET, Gyalshing, where educators are engaging in discussions to adopt pedagogical strategies influenced by Singapore’s advanced education system. This initiative aspires to improve teaching methodologies through cross-cultural exchange, providing local educators a platform to learn from Singaporean practices.
Concurrently, a two-day website designing workshop led by NIE Singapore is underway for gram panchayats and GPK staff, targeting the enhancement of digital skills in local governance. A 28-member delegation from NIE Singapore is currently participating in Yuksam as part of the Youth Expedition Programme (YEP), taking part in various educational and community-oriented activities hosted by KCC.
This exchange program represents a forward-thinking effort to blend educational frameworks and foster skill enhancement, equipping local teachers and officials with global insights and tools.
