As Cyclone Fengal intensifies, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai, forecasts that it will make landfall near Puducherry by Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2024. A red weather alert has been issued for seven coastal districts in Tamil Nadu, predicting isolated extremely heavy rainfall. The cyclone, unusual for its extended duration before intensifying over the Bay of Bengal, is expected to bring intense rain across several regions.
