Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General of the BSF’s Eastern Command, conducted a significant visit to Tripura this week to address border security concerns. On Wednesday, he engaged in comprehensive discussions with Tripura’s Director General of Police, Amitabh Ranjan, and Chief Secretary, J K Sinha, focusing on the region’s security challenges and issues concerning the neighboring country.
During his three-day tour, ADG Gandhi visited key locations, including the Sector Headquarters BSF Gokulnagar in Sepahijala District and the Nischintpur border in West District. He was joined by Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IG BSF Tripura Frontier, and other senior officers.
At the Gokulnagar headquarters, V K Kasana, DIG, briefed the ADG on operational readiness. ADG Gandhi took the opportunity to commend the troops for their vigilant efforts in combating cross-border crimes. He also emphasized the importance of staying vigilant against emerging national security threats.
This visit underscores the BSF’s commitment to enhancing security protocols and strengthening coordination with local authorities to address border-related issues effectively.
