For instance, security personnel can access data to identify arriving trucks, corroborate driver identity, and assign parking, ensuring a seamless entry and security process. This sophisticated system is akin to those already effective at seaports and airports, enhancing communication and information sharing capabilities at land ports.
Mishra expressed optimism about implementing this system across all land ports within the forthcoming months. A significant focus will be on passenger processing, having tested several software solutions, such as slot management and the Suvidha system, at different ports like Petrapole. The success of these trials underpins the broader integration of these systems within LPMS to be deployed across all current and future land ports.
