Tragic Discovery: Assam Woman Brutally Murdered in Bengaluru Service Apartment
Maya Gogoi, a 26-year-old woman from Assam, was discovered murdered in a service apartment in Bengaluru’s prestigious Indiranagar neighborhood. The tragic incident involves Maya, who worked for a private company in Koramangala, and her partner, Aarav Anay from Kannur, Kerala, who is suspected of the crime. Aarav, employed as a student counselor at Leap Scholar, allegedly stabbed Maya to death and is now on the run, prompting a nationwide manhunt.
The murder took place at The Royal Livings, a service apartment where Aarav had been residing for the past three days. The investigation began after authorities received a report about a foul odor emanating from one of the rooms at the apartment complex. Upon entering, police discovered Maya’s body on the bed, along with a knife and a nylon wire believed to have been ordered online, suggesting premeditation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) D. Devaraj stated, “A murder case has been filed, and a full-scale investigation is underway.” He confirmed the police are actively pursuing Aarav and gathering more details about his background. Officers have also visited HSR Layout, where Maya was employed, to verify her identity and gather additional information.
Authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to this horrific crime. Additional details from the preliminary investigation will be shared with the media after 6 p.m. as the case unfolds. The urgency to apprehend Aarav and bring justice to Maya underscores the seriousness of this case, marking another distressing chapter in Bangalore’s crime scene.
