Jaw-Dropping Bust: Assam Police Uncover Over 300 Cartons of Illegal Foreign Liquor in Daring Bokajan Operation
In a significant seizure, Assam police in the Khakarajan area of Bokajan, Borpathar, intercepted a large consignment of illegal foreign liquor during a routine check. The truck, identified by its registration number AS-01-JC-7426, was en route from Lakhipur, Guwahati, to Kahimal, when it was discovered to be transporting nearly 300 cartons of illicit liquor disguised as food cartons.
The operation led to the arrest of the truck’s driver, Phulchand Ali Mondal, hailing from Golakganj, Dhubri. He is currently undergoing interrogation as authorities delve deeper into the case. The Excise Department has remarked that the market value of the confiscated liquor exceeds 9 lakh rupees.
