Recently, a similar situation emerged in a nearby village, yet the lack of prompt action from agricultural authorities has allowed the disease to proliferate unabated, affecting additional villages like No. 1 Adaveti and No. 2 Kumalia. The disease’s spread has turned the plants red and caused them to wilt prematurely, leaving farmers in a state of deep concern about their future prospects.
Despite investing heavily in both finances and labor, attempts to salvage the crop by using pesticides have proven futile, leading to widespread despair.
