Breaking News: Khilli Ram Meena Triumphantly Appointed as New Chief Secretary of Mizoram – A Transformational Leap for the Region!

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Khilli Ram Meena as the new Chief Secretary of Mizoram, effective after Renu Sharma’s retirement on October 31. Meena, a 1993-batch IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre, was previously serving as an additional secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. He will take over from H Lalengmawi, a 2005-batch IAS officer currently acting as interim Chief Secretary. Although the Mizoram government requested Vumlunmang Vualnam, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Manipur cadre, for the role, the MHA declined, and Vualnam continues as the Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Born on December 4, 1967, in Rajasthan, Meena holds a Master’s degree in history and brings extensive administrative experience to his new role. He is expected to assume his new responsibilities shortly.
