Triumphant Success: Indian Army’s Sanyukt Vimochan 2024 HADR Exercise in Gujarat Unites Nations
The Indian Army effectively concluded the Multilateral Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Exercise, ‘Sanyukt Vimochan 2024,’ on Monday and Tuesday in Ahmedabad and Porbandar, Gujarat. This event, attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, highlighted India’s preparedness in disaster response. The exercise demonstrated India’s commitment to enhancing humanitarian aid capabilities, crucial for rapid response during emergencies and natural disasters.
Simultaneously, in a significant showcase of military capability, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force jointly executed the ‘Poorvi Prahar’ exercise in Mechuka, Arunachal Pradesh. Conducted from November 10 to 18, this extensive exercise underscored a major advancement in joint warfare abilities within the Eastern Theatre of operations. It featured unprecedented coordination among the three branches of the armed forces and demonstrated a full-scale display of military strength.
‘Poorvi Prahar’ incorporated cutting-edge weaponry, including the advanced M-777 Howitzer, enhancing the artillery capabilities. The Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance aircraft P-8I played a pivotal role in strategic surveillance, while the use of swarm drones, First Person View (FPV) drones, and loitering munitions showcased innovative approaches in modern warfare.
