Unprecedented Victory: YSRCP’s China Appala Naidu Poised for Unanimous Win in Vizianagaram MLC Election as TDP Retreats
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate Sambangi Venkata China Appala Naidu is poised for a unanimous win in the Vizianagaram constituency’s local body MLC seat election in Andhra Pradesh. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is likely to abstain from contesting due to a lack of majority and legal challenges, including a case involving disqualified MLC Indukuri Raghuraju. Naidu, set to file his nomination on November 11, is confident as YSRCP holds over 500 of the 727 votes within the constituency. If no other valid nominations are filed, Naidu will be declared elected unopposed. Voters include ZPTC, MPTC members, and local council representatives. Although TDP had considered fielding Valluri Jayaprakash Babu, the party remains uncertain about contesting due to YSRCP’s maintained strength despite recent electoral defeats. If TDP enters the fray, elections will take place on November 28, with counting on December 1.
