Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has called on Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to create a “Mizo Territorial Force” composed solely of Mizo youths. The request was made during a recent meeting between the two leaders, according to an official source. In response, Singh assured Lalduhoma that he would present the proposal to the Centre’s Cabinet Committee on Security for further consideration.
This initiative aims to provide local Mizo youth with unique opportunities within a specialized territorial unit, enhancing regional security and local engagement in national defense activities. On October 28, he inaugurated two new digital dashboards: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dashboard and the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Dashboard (MPLAN). This launch, held at the Planning and Programme Implementation Department’s Conference Hall, marks a significant step in Mizoram’s developmental strategy.
