In Dibrugarh, Assam, a young woman reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was involved in a significant accident on Sunday evening. Driving a white Hyundai i20, she collided with a blacksmith’s shop near a flyover, injuring three men, identified as Gautam Sharma, Upendra Sharma, and Shiva Narayan Sharma. Gautam Sharma’s condition is considered critical.
Prior to this incident, the woman allegedly caused another accident on PN Road and fled the scene. Witnesses indicated that young men were also in the vehicle during this initial incident. Upon searching the car, police found alcohol bottles and substances suspected to be drugs.
The incident sparked public outrage, leading to the woman’s arrest. Dibrugarh police have registered a case and are conducting a thorough investigation into the chain of events.
