BJP Nears 12 Lakh Membership Goal in Tripura
Agartala, 24th October 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura is closing in on its ambitious target of reaching 12 lakh members, as per the statement by the party’s General Secretary, Amit Rakshit. Addressing the media, Rakshit highlighted the enthusiastic participation from party workers and leaders across all levels in the membership drive.
“Last year, our membership was around 6 lakh, and we’ve already surpassed that figure. This year, we aim for 12 lakh, and the progress is promising,” Rakshit stated.
The drive utilizes both online and offline methods, with over 7 lakh members joining through online platforms and an additional 4 lakh via offline efforts. Rakshit noted the overwhelmingly positive public response, which he attributes to their trust in the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rakshit credited the growing support to the welfare initiatives from both central and state governments, evident in the BJP’s recent electoral victories in Tripura.
Having commenced a month ago, the membership drive has now entered its second phase. Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with other key leaders, is actively participating in the campaign alongside grassroots workers. Rakshit expressed confidence in surpassing the membership target, emphasizing the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in the drive.
The BJP’s membership expansion reflects broader support for the party in Tripura, demonstrating effective leadership and successful governance in the state.
