Pranajit Delights in Reviewing Spectacular Diwali Mela Preparations at Tripura Sundari Temple
Agartala, October 21, 2024: Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy recently visited the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati District, to oversee preparations for the upcoming Diwali Mela, which is the state’s largest festival. Accompanied by Mata Bari Assembly Constituency MLA Abhishek Debroy and District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, the minister participated in a preparatory meeting to discuss essential arrangements.
In addressing the press, Minister Singha Roy emphasized the significance of the Diwali festivities, highlighting that the temple attracts thousands of devotees from across the nation seeking the blessings of Mata Tripura Sundari. He reassured the public that detailed planning is underway to ensure the festival’s successful and peaceful execution. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha is actively involved in these preparations, having already initiated several discussions to coordinate efforts.
The minister detailed his review of the temple’s facilities, including VIP accommodations, kitchen areas, and additional infrastructure. During the meeting, important decisions were made to prevent any inconveniences to the attendees. Minister Singha Roy acknowledged that while some progress has been made, certain beautification projects for the temple remain incomplete. He assured that directives have been issued to expedite these works, aiming for completion before the Diwali celebrations begin.
The administration’s priority is the seamless execution of the Diwali Mela, ensuring that the enormous influx of visitors experiences well-organized and dignified festivities. The meeting chaired by the minister, following an earlier discussion by the DM and MLA, is part of a series of initiatives designed to enhance the temple’s readiness and cater to the needs of the massive gathering expected for this auspicious occasion.
