Kohima, October 20 (MExN): The Office of the Senior Treasury Officer (STO), Kohima North, has announced the schedule for the annual physical verification of pensioners drawing their pensions from the Kohima North Treasury. In accordance with CTR 368, life and family pensioners are required to undergo this verification process for the year 2024, which will take place over two periods: November 11-14 and November 18-20, starting from 9:30 AM onwards each day.
Pensioners must check their book serial numbers to ensure they attend the correct verification session. The detailed schedule for life pensions is as follows: November 11 for serial numbers 7-1260, November 12 for 1264-2155, November 13 for 2157-3060, November 14 for 3063-3830, November 18 for 3831-4399, November 19 for 4401-4830, and November 20 for 4831-5229. For family pensions, the schedule is: November 11 for serial numbers 1-535, November 12 for 536-1100, November 13 for 1101-1580, November 14 for 1584-1999, November 18 for 2003-2340, November 19 for 2341-2500, and November 20 for 2501-2890.
Limatemsu, the STO of Kohima North, emphasized that there will be no extensions beyond these specified dates. Pensioners who fail to complete the physical verification within these dates will not receive any pension payments starting from November 2024. In exceptional cases, bedridden pensioners unable to attend can submit their home address and contact number to arrange a home verification visit by an official.
Pensioners attending the verification are required to bring specific documents, including their PPO books, life certificates duly attested, and ID cards issued by the pensioners’ association.
This critical process ensures the continued disbursement of pensions and requires timely compliance to avoid disruptions in payment.
