In a pivotal meeting at Raj Bhavan, Arunachal Pradesh’s Minister of Information and Public Relations, Shri Nyato Dukam, engaged with Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) to deliberate on the forthcoming Arunachal Literature Festival and vital initiatives centered on skill development and entrepreneurship. The Governor underscored the imperative of cultivating literary activities throughout educational institutions, advocating for a comprehensive movement to engage students at all levels. He emphasized, “Students from schools to universities must be motivated to participate in literature programmes, with leading intellectuals sharing their experiences and aspirations.”
The discussions with the Governor spotlighted the significance of empowering the youth through skill enhancement and fostering entrepreneurship, essential for the state’s contribution to India’s economic growth and cultural diversity. He urged Minister Dukam, who supervises multiple portfolios, including Industries and Skill Development, to explore innovative paths for industrial progression, notably by reinforcing traditional textiles and handicrafts.
“The youth of Arunachal Pradesh hold the potential to foster national unity and drive economic progress,” remarked the Governor, highlighting the role of integrating technology and modernization into skill development. This integration is seen as a crucial element in realizing India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
