Unwavering Restoration: Triumph Amidst Adversity Following Agartala-Mumbai Express Derailment at Diblong Station
On October 17, eight coaches of the 12520 Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Express derailed at Diblong station, near Lumding, prompting immediate restoration efforts. The train, which departed Agartala at 7:20 AM, encountered the derailment around 4 PM.
Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Frontier Railway, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries among passengers. “Fortunately, all passengers are safe,” he stated. Railway authorities swiftly responded by organizing a separate train to transport passengers to their destinations and providing food and water to those affected.
Sharma emphasized that relief and restoration operations are being diligently conducted to restore normalcy quickly, reflecting the railway’s dedication to passenger safety and well-being.
