Stunning Victory: BSF Heroically Seizes Over Rs 41 Lakh in Narcotics in Tripura
In a significant crackdown on drug smuggling, Tripura’s Border Security Force (BSF) seized narcotics worth over Rs 41 lakh in a series of operations across the state. On October 15, acting on precise intelligence, BSF troops at the N C Nagar Border Outpost in Sepahijala District intercepted a smuggling attempt. During an overnight ambush, they observed a suspect hurling items across the border fence. Although the individual managed to escape when confronted, the BSF’s Quick Reaction Team conducted a thorough search of the area, uncovering a packet containing 4,000 Yaba tablets, with an estimated market value of Rs 40 lakh.
In additional operations, BSF personnel at the Belchera Border Outpost in Khowai District and the Rahimpur Border Outpost in Sepahijala District successfully seized a total of 35 kg of Ganja. The illicit cannabis is valued at Rs 1.65 lakh. These concerted efforts by the BSF highlight their ongoing commitment to combating the smuggling of narcotics along India’s northeastern borders.
These operations underscore the strategic importance of vigilant border patrols and intelligence-driven actions in curbing illegal drug trafficking in the region. The BSF’s effective coordination and rapid response capabilities continue to play a crucial role in maintaining security and order along the borders.
