Don’t Miss Out: BC Commission’s Groundbreaking Public Hearings Across 10 Districts Starting October 24!
The Telangana Backward Classes (BC) Commission has announced plans to embark on a statewide tour, conducting public hearings in the 10 former district headquarters, with proceedings anticipated to commence on October 24. The official notification is expected shortly. In a strategic meeting held on October 14, 2024, at the Commission’s Khairatabad office, the BC Commission developed an action plan influenced by recent government orders from October 9, which defined the Commission’s responsibilities.
Sandeep Kumar Sultania, the Principal Secretary of the Planning Department and a special invitee to the meeting, provided insights into the preparations for the upcoming caste survey. The survey, crucial for determining the percentage of reservations for BCs in local bodies, will be overseen by the BC Commission in collaboration with the Planning Department.
To ensure comprehensive community input, the Commission plans to hold a consultation meeting with intellectuals from the BC community in the near future. This initiative underscores the Commission’s commitment to inclusivity and accurate representation of backward classes in local governance.
