The significance of the D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary was highlighted by Tayeng, who pointed out its potential as a wildlife tourism hub, promising economic opportunities for local unemployed youth. Retired DFO Tasang Taga recounted his initiatives in reestablishing the sanctuary and encouraged support for relocating species lost to poaching.
The closing ceremony saw attendance from village elders, government officials, and the Eco-Development Committee. The event demonstrated a community-focused approach to wildlife preservation and youth engagement through sports, reinforcing the connection between ecological conservation and societal growth.
