Transformative Triumph: Niti Aayog Applauds Andhra Pradesh’s CNF Model in Tackling the Climate Emergency with RySS’s Inspiring Efforts
The NITI Aayog delegation commended Andhra Pradesh’s Community-managed Natural Farming (APCNF) model for its role in combating global challenges such as biodiversity loss and environmental degradation. During a recent visit, they observed natural farming’s positive impact on food security, ecological sustainability, and socio-economic growth. The team stressed the urgent need to shift from synthetic fertilizers and chemical pesticides to natural farming practices. Dr. Ramesh Chand from NITI Aayog, impressed by the APCNF’s success, advocated for its nationwide implementation, viewing it as a sustainable future solution. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari of ICAR highlighted the active participation of farmers and the improvements in soil health. Neelam Patel from NITI Aayog applauded RySS for its dedication to promoting natural farming over the years. Key officials, including RySS Executive Vice-chairman Vijay Kumar, were present at the meeting.
