Exciting Key Route Changes for Durga Idol Immersion on Oct 12-13: Your Ultimate Guide to a Seamless Celebration!
In light of upcoming events, key traffic restrictions will be in place starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, continuing until the conclusion of idol immersion activities at Kachomari IWT Ghat, Fancy Bazaar. These measures are aimed at ensuring smooth operations and managing the influx of vehicles during the immersions at Lachit Ghat on Dashami Day.
1. Vehicles carrying idols from the Chandmari area will be rerouted at Guwahati Club through MC Road to reach their destination via FC Road, High Court East, MG Road, and finally Lachit Ghat.
2. Those arriving from Tokobari, Paltanbazar, Ulubari, Rehabari, Birubari, Chatribari, Bishnupur, Athgaon, and Fatasil are directed to proceed through Arya Nagar and A.K. Azad Road, culminating their journey via MG Road to Lachit Ghat.
3. Vehicles from Kumarpara and Lalganesh are assigned a similar route via Bishnupur Road and Arya Nagar, eventually reaching Lachit Ghat through MG Road.
4. Participants from Ulubari and South Sarania should follow GS Road to reach their destination via a specified route that includes MG Road.
5. Rajgarh, Bhangagarh, and Christianbasti vehicles will proceed along GS Road, pass through Chandmari and Guwahati Club, and make their way via MG Road to Lachit Ghat.
6. Idols from Ganeshguri, Dispur, and Kahilipara will travel via RG Barooah Road and GNB Road, utilizing MG Road to arrive at Lachit Ghat.
Notably, vehicles are prohibited from using B. Baruah Road between Ulubari and TC point. Upon completing their activities at Lachit Ghat, all vehicles are to depart via MG Road, either taking DG Road or AT Road. These traffic arrangements are crafted to facilitate orderly immersion ceremonies while minimizing disruptions in the city. Citizens are advised to adhere to these directions for a seamless celebration.
