Restrictions Imposed on Vehicular Movement for MAA DURGA Idol Immersion
Guwahati authorities have announced significant traffic restrictions ahead of the MAA DURGA idol immersion ceremonies to ensure smooth proceedings. On the day of immersion, normal vehicular traffic will be restricted from Adabari Tiniali to Pandu Ghat. Only vehicles transporting the idols will be permitted beyond this point.
These idol-carrying vehicles will be allowed to reach the entry point of the immersion ghat. After completing the ceremonial duties, they must return via Sadilapur 6 No. Calany through NH-27. This measure is aimed at minimizing congestion and ensuring the safety of both participants and onlookers during this highly attended event.
Furthermore, restrictions are also in place around Panbazar police station. No vehicles will be allowed to proceed from MS Road towards H.B. Road, near Sani Mandir, or straight towards Gate No. 4. Commuters are advised to plan alternate routes in advance to avoid potential delays.
Authorities urge the public to cooperate fully with these temporary measures to facilitate a respectful and orderly immersion process. Traffic personnel will be deployed in strategic locations to guide and assist motorists, ensuring a seamless event for all involved.
