In a significant operation by the Sonapur Police in Meghalaya’s Ri-Bhoi District, a 22-year-old man named Biru Boro was arrested on October 3 in Nongkorla, Byrnihat. The arrest took place near the 15th Mile Byrnihat, and Boro faces multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Authorities recovered 20 mobile phones believed to be stolen, along with a scooty used by Boro. The scooty and its key have been secured for in-depth investigation. According to police reports, Boro obtained these stolen phones from thieves operating at the Khanapara flyover, indicating his involvement in a broader network of criminal activity.
