Google’s Game-Changing AI Revolution: Transforming Every Indian’s Life as it Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation!
Google is set to open a new Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC) in India by 2025 as part of its 20-year anniversary initiatives in the country. The plan includes enhancing artificial intelligence (AI) access for all Indian Google users, with a focus on regional languages and equipping 10 million Indians with AI skills. Google’s AI product, Gemini, will be integrated across its platforms, including AI Overviews in Google Search and Gemini Live, accessible in nine languages. Notably, Gemini Live has already been launched in English and will soon support Hindi and other Indian languages like Bengali and Gujarati.
The planned GSEC will focus on developing security and online safety solutions tailored for Indian users. Google also released an “AI Opportunity Agenda for India,” outlining a strategy to back the country’s AI Mission with key priorities like investing in AI infrastructure and building a skilled workforce.
In collaboration with Eka Care, Google will make Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID cards accessible via Google Wallet to aid over 600 million holders in managing their digital health data. Google Cloud will leverage Beckn-enabled open networks alongside Gemini through an open-source Gemini Agent Framework, facilitating a seamless search and transaction experience across various sectors.
Additionally, Google plans to introduce new tools aimed at helping merchants enhance product presentations and offer immersive customer experiences. These initiatives reflect Google’s commitment to driving AI advancement and adoption in India.
