UP Govt’s Heartwarming Initiative: Funding IIT Dhanbad Education for Talented Muzaffarnagar Student
UP Government Steps In to Support Muzaffarnagar Student’s IIT Dream
In an uplifting turn of events, Atul Kumar, a bright student from Titoda village in Khatauli Tehsil, Muzaffarnagar district, is set to receive full financial support from the Uttar Pradesh government to pursue his education at IIT Dhanbad. The initiative comes after Atul, the son of a daily wage laborer, faced financial hurdles that prevented him from completing his admission to the prestigious institute.
Atul had secured a seat in the Electronics Engineering branch at IIT Dhanbad by excelling in the IIT JEE exam. However, the inability to pay the fees by the June 24 deadline almost cost him his chance. Understanding the importance of talent and education, the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has stepped in to cover his full tuition fees through the state’s scholarship scheme. They have committed to providing scholarships for the next four years, ensuring that Atul can focus solely on his studies without any financial worries.
The intervention by the Supreme Court prompted swift action from the state authorities. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued clear directives to extend all possible assistance to Atul. Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun personally reached out to Atul’s family to assure them of the government’s support. Further, the state government has already initiated contact with IIT Dhanbad to facilitate the completion of Atul’s admission process.
This heartening move by the UP government underscores its commitment to supporting talented students from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their educational aspirations. This concerted effort will not only change Atul’s future but also serve as an inspirational example for many other students in similar circumstances.
