Discover Innovation: Coimbatore Corporation’s Stunning New Commercial Complex in Gandhipuram Nears Completion
The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation is nearing completion of a new commercial complex on Patel Road in Gandhipuram, following the demolition of 30 small shops. The construction, covering 13 cents of land and costing approximately ₹1 crore from the Corporation’s general fund, features seven larger shops with dedicated parking facilities. Varying in size to suit different business needs, the new shops include one at 275 square feet, four at 550 square feet, and two at 825 square feet. Interior work will be completed within a month, and tenders issued in 15 days. Plans include an additional level for the complex.
Additionally, the Corporation is considering a new project on Radhakrishnan Street, Tatabad, spanning a 14-cent land area. Public feedback will be sought to determine the best use of this space. Meetings will be held with local shop owners, resident welfare association heads, and Corporation engineers to finalize plans.
