Man Stuck in Lift for Two Days Rescued
Thiruvananthapuram, July 15: A 59-year-old man, Ravindran Nair, was trapped in a lift at the Government Medical College Hospital for two days. The incident, which took place in the OP Block of the hospital, went unnoticed by the responsible officials until Monday morning. Authorities have initiated disciplinary action against those involved. Nair, who had visited the hospital for a medical check-up, was eventually rescued by an operator performing routine work. (PTI)
Bus Torched After Fatal Accident
Medininagar, July 15: A tragic collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw in Jharkhand’s Palamu district led to the death of Om Prakash Viswakarma (34) and left two others injured on Monday. The accident on the Medininagar-Panki road incited local villagers to set the bus on fire after ensuring passengers were evacuated. The driver was attacked and later hospitalized.
