A woman in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi Yomi district has alleged negligence and irregularities at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Monigong after she says she failed to receive medical help during an emergency visit with her infant. In a video recorded at the facility, the woman claims she arrived during official working hours but found no doctors, nurses or other medical personnel on duty. She says she searched the hospital premises and the staff quarters but was unable to locate anyone to attend to emergency patients.
The woman further alleged that the health centre has long struggled with inadequate facilities and frequent absenteeism among medical staff.
