Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Saturday unveiled the Guidelines for Operationalisation of the Fourth Year of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) for colleges affiliated to Gauhati University, announcing the rollout at a programme held on the university campus in Guwahati. At the same event he also released the NEP Ready Reckoner 2026 and an FAQ Booklet specifically addressing the FYUGP fourth year.
The documents are intended to guide Gauhati University-affiliated colleges on implementing the additional fourth year under the FYUGP framework. The programme was attended by Gauhati University vice-chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, members of the Assam College Principals’ Council and other distinguished guests.
Officials said the guidelines and accompanying materials aim to provide colleges with practical direction and clarify frequently asked questions about the fourth-year structure and its operational requirements under the FYUGP.
