Sikkim CM Tamang Inspires Mass Participation in Har Ghar Yoga
Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has urged residents to join the nationwide Har Ghar Yoga programme on June 14, saying the Ministry of AYUSH hopes to set a Guinness World Record through mass participation. He asked people to register on the Habuild Online Yoga Registration platform and said all registered participants will receive a special link to join the online session.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Tamang encouraged active participation and called on citizens to complete their registration as soon as possible to ensure wider representation from the state. The online event is scheduled to begin at 6.15 am on June 14 under the theme “Yoga: India’s gift to the world.”
Tamang said Sikkim’s involvement would demonstrate the state’s commitment to wellness and national unity. “I warmly urge the people of Sikkim to enthusiastically participate and register through the Habuild Online Yoga Registration initiative. Our active participation will make Sikkim a proud contributor to this national movement,” he stated.
Underlining the campaign’s broader aim, the chief minister noted the drive is not only an attempt at a world record but also an effort to promote healthy living and collective unity across the country. “Let us come together to promote a healthy lifestyle, yoga, and the spirit of national unity,” he added.
Residents who register will receive the link on June 14 and can join the guided session online. The chief minister’s appeal focuses on maximizing turnout to make Sikkim a significant participant in the nationwide Har Ghar Yoga campaign.
