Tripura CM Urges Quality Learning, Boosts Education Infrastructure
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday chaired an in-depth review meeting of the State Education Department to assess ongoing initiatives and outline priorities for strengthening the state’s education system, and shared details of the session in a post on X reaffirming the government’s commitment to quality education for every child in Tripura.
Saha said the meeting reviewed progress across multiple programmes and considered measures to improve academic standards, school infrastructure and overall learning outcomes. He stressed that the administration is working to reduce class sizes by improving the teacher–student ratio and upgrading facilities in schools across the state.
“Ensuring quality education for every child remains our foremost commitment. We are continuously working to improve the teacher–student ratio, strengthen educational infrastructure, and enhance learning outcomes across the state,” the Chief Minister said in his post.
He further emphasized that education is a key pillar of Tripura’s development agenda and that current efforts aim to build a stronger foundation for future generations through better access to quality learning. The review examined the implementation status of various initiatives and identified steps to boost teaching quality and academic performance.
The state government has been prioritizing upgrades to school infrastructure, widening access to education and improving teacher training to create better opportunities for students statewide. Officials at the meeting outlined action points to accelerate these reforms and monitor outcomes more closely.
If implemented effectively, the measures discussed by the government could translate into smaller class sizes, improved classroom facilities and stronger learning results for students across Tripura.
