On Wednesday, a motorcycle accident in Tinisukia village under Juria in Nagaon district, Assam, killed a young man after he lost control of his vehicle and struck an electric pole. The impact was severe and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Sarafat Ali, son of Nur Islam and a resident of Tinisukia village in Juria.
Eyewitnesses told reporters that Sarafat was riding at high speed when he apparently lost control and the motorcycle veered off the road into an electric pole. According to those on the spot, the collision left him fatally injured.
Following the report, a team from Juria police station rushed to the site. Officers recovered the body and handed it over to Nagaon Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Juria police have opened an investigation to establish the exact cause of the crash. Further details, including any involvement of other vehicles or road conditions, are awaited.
