In Guwahati, Progressive Fertichem Private Limited has signed a long-term offtake agreement with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) for the annual supply of 52,500 metric tonnes of sulphur, a move the companies say will secure a crucial raw material and bolster Progressive Fertichem’s operational stability. The deal guarantees a steady stream of sulphur-an important industrial input-supporting the fertiliser maker’s supply chain and long-term growth plans.
Company officials described the partnership as part of Progressive Fertichem’s strategy to build reliable, value-driven collaborations with major industry players to ensure sustained efficiency and raw material security. They said the assured annual supply will help the company plan production and investments with greater confidence.
The signing ceremony included senior NRL representatives Rangkisan Khongwir, CGM Marketing; Pratul Saikia, CGM Finance; and Suman Goswami, GM Marketing, along with other Marketing and Finance officials. Progressive Fertichem was represented by Managing Director Pijush Kanti Dey and Director Lila Kumar Saikia. Both parties acknowledged NRL’s support and cooperation in finalising the arrangement.
Officials added that regular coordination and detailed discussions on commercial, financial and procedural matters were instrumental in concluding the agreement. By locking in this supply, Progressive Fertichem aims to reduce procurement risk and strengthen its supply chain resilience going forward.
