A five-year-old boy, Ankush Malakar, was killed after a mud wall in the kitchen of his family home unexpectedly collapsed in Fatikroy village in Tripura’s Unakoti district on Wednesday evening. Ankush and his brother Ayush were inside the house when the wall gave way, according to the report.
The house belongs to their father, Nibas Malakar. Relatives rushed both boys to Fatikroy Hospital, where doctors pronounced Ankush dead. Ayush sustained injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.
Authorities and further details about the cause of the collapse were not provided in the account. The incident has left the family grieving and one child fighting for his life at the local hospital.
