Agartala, April 9, 2026 — Tripura Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma’s convoy came under attack on Thursday near Dolubari in Ambassa, when unidentified assailants hurled stones and bricks at the vehicles, according to initial reports. The incident occurred close to Nailasha Bari, but there were no injuries and the minister was reported to be safe.
Police and additional security personnel were deployed to the area soon after the attack to prevent any escalation. Officers reached the scene promptly and have launched a formal investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible.
